A Coweta Barbershop owner is donating all proceeds Monday to the families of the two Tulsa Police Officers who were shot in the line of duty.

Blended Barbershop is normally closed on Mondays, but the barbers wanted to donate their time to help the families.

The owner of Blended Barbershop, Clayton Ashley, said he and his wife wanted to find a way to show their support. They decided to open their shop from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and use all the money to buy gift cards for Sgt. Craig Johnson and Officer Aurash Zarkeshan’s families.

Sgt. Johnson was shot and killed in the line of duty two weeks ago. Officer Zarkeshan was also shot and is recovering in the hospital.

Ashley said when he pitched the idea to his barbers, they were all in and happy to donate their time and talent for this cause.

Ashley said he doesn't have any direct ties to the families but said he's from Tulsa and is a father and that’s why he felt so compelled to give.

"Knowing what happened and knowing the situation the family is going through, I just felt compelled that there was something I could do. Even if it was just very minor,” said Ashley.

Ashley says they will use the money to buy gift cards to different restaurants and give those to the families.
