Packers running back Josh Jacobs hosted his fourth annual 'Josh Jacobs Youth Football Camp' at Tulsa University Saturday afternoon.
"I mean, I think it's everything. I think it's also, you know, it's one thing to give back, but I think it's another thing to be present, you know, and, walk in there and actually, you know, have conversations with the kids and, you know, work out with them." said Jacobs "So, mentality or to a certain point that you want to have. It's just give, give the, you know, community hope. I think it's I think it's amazing what it's like being their age and having to look up to NFL players and just kind of understanding how much this means to them."
To no one's surprise, the camp was sold out for another year.
Jacobs went to McLain High School from 2013-2016 and loves to come back home and see family, but especially give back to the program where it all started for him.
"Feels good. Man, to be able to come back, you know, give back to this community. I went to my high school all last week. Worked out with the kids out there. Donated some stuff to the to the team. It's been a good week."
Josh is on track to hit 8,000 career rushing yards this season.
He currently holds 6,874 yards and is fourth overall on the list in good company with names like Joe Mixon and Saquon Barkley.
Jacobs smiled at the thought of surpassing the milestone, but has bigger goals in mind.
"My goal is ten. My goal is ten. I feel like if I get ten and 100 touchdowns, then I'm like stamped in history. That's what I'm gonna try to do before I give it up."
The Packers open up the 2025 season on September 7th at Lambeau Field against the Detroit Lions.
